A Fresh Start

There are so many now reading my posts and I am trying to help you all.

I love the Bible because it is obviously divine, supernaturally written and another amazing gift from God. It is a bit like the Tardis and when you enter it, you will discover it is far more than a book. Because, inside the words are spiritual words from God which lead to Jesus who is the Word and the source of everything we need for an abundant life as God intended.

But to see and understand God’s spiritual word to us,  we need our spiritual eyes to be opened because we are born spiritually dead and spiritually blind and that is why Jesus came. He came to be punished for the sin that separates humanity from God. If we sincerely accept Jesus as our Saviour from our sins with a desire to follow his teachings, we are  instantly forgiven, the Holy Spirit will enter us and connect us to God and our spiritual eyes will be opened. Jesus called it being ‘born again.

From then on we need to see words from God as spiritual food and drink and without them we will spiritually die of thirst and starvation. That’s why when the devil tried to temp Jesus away from God’s will he told him he lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God. And so must we, because the devil will try to divert us away from God’s will. Jesus said come to me all who are thirsty and I will give you give you rivers of living water.

I am sure we all need to know the truth and want to live the best possible life. Let me reassure you from 45 years of truth seeking that Jesus is the real deal and he really is the way the truth and the life. Maybe some of you need to  make a fresh start in your life as a follower of Jesus.

Well Jesus is the master of giving fresh starts and an expert at bringing the dead back to life. So first of all keep it simple, shake off all the dead stuff of the past that is clinging to you, shake off the all the religious stuff that only produces dead religion and listen to the words of Jesus to a man who was dead and buried. “Lazarus come out” so he did and then Jesus said “take off the grave clothes and let him go”
