It Sounded Crazy

In 1981 I was called to leave my business and live by faith in God alone. Which means I had to learn how to listen for his voice, obey what he says and trust him for the outcome. I also had to learn that he is not restricted to human logic and nothing is impossible for him.

After pastoring 3 churches in the UK he told me to go and plant South City Elim church in New Zealand from nothing. We arrived in Manurewa on July 1st 1989, rented a house and a school hall for Sunday services to start on September 3rd. On September 2nd, 36 years ago today, I went to the school in the evening to set the hall up for the first Sunday service but didn’t know how many chairs to put out so I asked the Lord and he said 200, which sounded crazy but I was obedient, put out 200 chairs, and 200 people came. Thats how I have lived for 45 years.

Sadly so many have put God in a religious box and closed the lid to anything supernatural and never experience the exciting life of living by faith and seeing what God can do. It’s never too late to change!
