The First Step

We are all aware of the suffering caused by aggressive people, countries and religions seeking to dominate others. However we have to remember behind it all is a spiritual battle between light and darkness, the God of heaven against the god of this world, which will continue until Jesus comes back. Until then we are called to live the Jesus Way.

Jesus could have wiped out those who  opposed him and wanted  to kill him but instead he chose to forgive them, love them, pray for them, bless them and then die for them. It’s not easy, it’s not natural because we want to do the opposite but it is possible when you totally hand over the steering wheel of your life to Jesus and allow his Spirit to do what you cannot do. That’s the first step.
